Hi;
I am soon to have a bariatric sleeve operation. I will be 3 months on no solid food. I have spent the past 5 days on SISu Whey Protein Isolate, with Ascenta's NutraSea oil, Liquid Cal + Vit D and Naka's Greens Liquid. I have lost 17 pounds over the past 5 days and I am just about out of protein powder, I paid $29.99 for 500 grams.

What would you suggest as I need to but more protein powder.

I do have health challenges such as COPD & Heart Disease as well as Diabetes.

You may be interested to know that I also have reduced my insulin as my sugars are now ranging from normal to mid 6's. I do have about 150 lbs. to lose.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely;
John Bonang

I agree that when you don't know what supplements work best, you should go with a site that the most expert advice to help guide you through the process. However, once you have determined which products you should or want to take, wouldn't it be better to research products and nutritional facts to find the best value? I have a small nutritional manufacturing site and I can tell you that most of the popular brands of protein are either poor in quality or they are very overpriced. As a general rule, when purchasing whey isolate protein, look for about 4 calories per gram of protein in each serving. For instance, if each serving has 25 grams of protein, then each serving should only have about 100 to about 110 calories. You also want to look at how much protein is actually in the container, so multiplying the amount of protein per serving times the number of servings will help determine this value. I just think most supplement companies have made it so confusing to purchase supplements, that even something as simple as buying whey isolate can be very confusing.
